Here’s a collection of FAQs covering common questions we’ve received and information we believe will be helpful regarding Japan Wrestling Adventures and our Wrestle Kingdom travel packages.
Japan Wrestling Adventures provides travel packages for international fans looking to attend Wrestle Kingdom – New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s biggest event of the year – in Tokyo, Japan.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), founded by the late Antonio Inoki in 1972, is widely regarded as Japan’s top professional wrestling promotion. Its biggest annual event, Wrestle Kingdom, serves as the NJPW equivalent of WWE’s WrestleMania and takes place every year on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome.
Japan Wrestling Adventures was created in January 2026 to fill a unique gap for international fans by providing travel packages to NJPW’s biggest event. This type of offering has not been explored since 2022.
Japan Wrestling Adventures is operated by Danny Wolstanholme, a lifelong wrestling fan with hands-on experience co-organising and co-leading a Wrestle Kingdom travel package in January 2020. He has worked in the travel industry since 2015, bringing years of experience to the company. He is also supported by Joe Baiamonte, who brings a wealth of experience in wrestling media.
Our packages included Wrestle Kingdom tickets, New Year Dash!! tickets, 7 nights at a highly reviewed 3-star or more hotel near the Tokyo Dome, roundtrip airport transfers, exclusive welcome and farewell meals, guided tours to wrestling hotspots in Tokyo, on-the-ground tour hosts, round-the-clock support and full financial protection.
Our packages do not include flights, personal travel insurance, visa costs (if applicable), personal expenses, additional food/drink at welcome and farewell meals, transportation costs during guided tours, food/drink during guided tours and city tax (if applicable).
Our Wrestle Kingdom tour packages begin on January 2nd and end on January 9th.

Wrestle Kingdom has been held on the same date – January 4th – since its inception. But in the unlikely event it is changed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you immediately with refund and rebook options. Flights impacted by changes or cancellations are not the responsibility of Japan Wrestling Adventures.
Flights are the sole responsibility of the traveller, and Japan Wrestling Adventures does not accept liability for airfare costs, schedule changes, cancellations or other travel disruptions.
Japan Wrestling Adventures guarantees a 3-star or more Western-style hotel within walking distance of the Tokyo Dome. As it stands, we have a highly reviewed 4-star hotel locked in for our 2027 package, which will be announced to our travellers in the summer.
We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance in place. We may ask for proof of this ahead of the trip.

Seats at Tokyo Dome are generally smaller and closer together than typical Western stadium seats. Legroom and seat width may feel more compact.
New Year Dash!! seating is subject to venue. As it stands, we expect the Ota City General Gymnasium. If the venue is different, we will aim to allocate similar seating. Please note that the Ota City General Gymnasium seating in 2F is bleacher-style seating.
We will be doing guided tours to a number of wrestling hotspots in Tokyo, including the famous Ribera Steakhouse and iconic Toudoukan wrestling store.

Yes, there will be plenty of free time for you to explore Tokyo and surrounding areas.
Japan itself remains completely safe, and all arrangements are proceeding as planned. While we don’t provide flights, travellers should be aware that flights connecting through the Middle East are currently experiencing delays or higher costs due to the ongoing situation in the region. Travellers may wish to consider airlines that operate alternative routes. Our team is always happy to provide guidance on planning your journey.
